Go Back To MovieKnightsDiscussion ||Mark said:|| I like Equilibrium, but the more I think about it the more I found massive holes. I mean, the Equilibrium medication that the people of Librium city takes is supposed to silence their feelings. But, does it silence or mute them all? Why did the black guy keep getting so much satisfaction out of questioning/grilling the white cleric guy? However, I did like the action scenes. They were short, no doubt due to the limited budget, but they were still very satisfying, mores so than most of those in The Matrix. ||Abram said:|| Equilibrium was really fun. Really fun altho there's not much there. It tries to be all 1984/Fahrenhiet 451 creepy but fails miserably. It's a great action movie and it's nice to see distopia sci-fi but there's something bad about that movie as well as a lot of good. If the drug was needed so often you think more people would forget. And if emotions were so enjoyable to a cleric you think that society would fall faster. People seemed too emotional for being "middleline" I did love how the white cleric in the end controlled his emotions (the "oh fuck scene with the polygraph"). It also seems weird people were promised no war and there was a constant terrorist threat as well as the total fear of authority. It was weird how emotional other people were. I like at the end how the bad guy mentioned he feels (he had art and nice stuff everywhere) and how could you kill someone who feels, then he dies :) It fit Christian Bale's character as we was in control of everything else why couldn't he moderate his own emotions as did his family. I'm going to make a section of a wiki dedicated to movie knights so all of us can edit and discuss movieknight stuff in a more permanent manner. ||Eric said:|| Slush of crap. ||Abram said:|| You're really harping on the slush thing. Maybe you just want a slurpee? ||Mark said:|| He'll keep abusing the phrase until one of us eventually snaps and then he'll turn around and try and accuse us of being the ones that used it.
